Murder Rate Of Women In Mexico Spikes In Past Decade

Mexico’s Interior Department says the number of women murdered in the country is up sharply over the past decade. Last year, the murder rate among women was 4.4 per 100,000.

With me to talk about this trend is Diana Washington Valdez. She’s journalist and author based in El Paso, Texas, and wrote the book "The Killing Fields: Harvest of Women."
