Survey Reveals How Arizonans View Mexico

President Donald Trump’s determination to build a new wall along the United States-Mexico border, or at least his commitment to talking about it, has increased the tension between the two countries.

But, even though the president’s supporters are advocating for the wall, a new survey indicates that a majority of Arizonans are opposed to it, and also value Mexico as a neighbor and trading partner.

That survey of 600 Arizonans was conducted by the North American Research Partnership and the Mexico-based Food and Development Research Center.

Erik Lee is with the North American Research Partnership and Victor Remigio Martinez Cantu is with Mexico’s Food and Development Research Center.

We’ve been talking about their survey on Arizonans’ attitudes toward Mexico.
