Court Sets Date For Litigation Against Axon

Scottsdale-based Axon Enterprises, maker of tasers and body camera equipment, will be facing off against Kansas-based competitor Digital Ally in 2018 in a U.S. District Court on March 7.

In late December, the court set a claim hearing for pre-trial for the spring. Digital Ally filed this patent infringement case in January 2016, alleging that body-worn camera products sold by Axon, then TASER, infringes on a patent held by Digital Ally.

A similar patent infringement case was also filed by the Kansas company against then-Taser for alleged violations of antitrust laws.
