Special Interest Groups Discuss Their Aims For Upcoming Legislative Session

Arizona’s 2018 legislative session begins next week. The governor and lawmakers from both parties have their goals — many want additional funding for certain priorities, while others are looking to cut taxes. And a number of special interest groups and industries have their own aims.

As part of getting ready for the session, we’re going to talk with people from some of those groups.

I’m joined by Dana Wolfe Naimark, the president and CEO of Children’s Action Alliance. And for another perspective, I turn to Sandy Bahr, who has been a presence at the state capitol for a number of years. She is director of the Grand Canyon Chapter of the Sierra Club and is here to talk about environmental issues.
