Study: Consumers Willing To Pay More For Healthy Food Labels

In an effort to eat healthier, a lot of us look for products with labels like "natural," "non-GMO" or "fat free." Research shows that consumers are also willing to pay more for these products, even if they don’t live up to the claims on their packaging.

A study found that people are willing to pay more for “natural” beef, even when they’re unfamiliar with what that actually means.

Carola Grebitus was part of the team of researchers who looked into this. She is also an assistant professor of food industry management at the W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU, and she joins The Show's Lauren Gilger to talk about their findings.
