Arizona Lawmakers To Start Special Session On Opioid Epidemic

On Monday afternoon, Gov. Doug Ducey is expected to call lawmakers into a special session to deal with the state’s opioid epidemic.

Late last week, the Governor’s Office released a series of proposals, collectively called the Arizona Opioid Epidemic Act, which aims to target the problem from a number of angles.

With me to talk about what’s in the measure, and what to expect during this week’s special session are Ben Giles and Paulina Pineda of the Arizona Capitol Times.
