Arizona is developing broader protocol on the handling of sexual assaults.
Late last year, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office introduced a new protocol manual for sex assaults for the first time in Arizona.
And, earlier this month county prosecutors began a conversation about the need to change the conditions of release and terms of probation for people convicted of sex trafficking.
