The Arizona Department of Transportation is warning drivers about significant closures on Interstate 10 this weekend.
ADOT said a freeway improvement project will shut down westbound lanes of I-10 between "The Split" interchange near Sky Harbor airport and "The Stack" interchange west of 19th Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Traffic will be diverted to Interstate 17.
The I-10 will be closed all weekend between 43rd and 59th avenues for construction on the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange.
The westbound and northbound Loop 202 will be narrowed to one lane overnight from Friday to Saturday.
ADOT urges drivers to use caution and slow down while travelling through work zones.
