Arizona Republican Congressman Paul Gosar said he does not support President Donald Trump’s newly announced immigration plan.

Gosar said President Trump's proposal to solve the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) deadline crisis is not a good-faith effort.

"I think it was meant by President Trump to show that the Democrats aren’t really after solving this problem,” Gosar said. “They’re after the full amnesty of everybody that came here illegally."

Gosar said he is proposing a DACA solution that does not reward recipients for being in the United States “illegally.”
