Monday is the deadline to register to vote in the primary for the special election to replace Trent Franks.
Voters have until 11:59 p.m. to register.
Early voting starts on Wednesday. The polls will be open on Feb. 27.
Voters who are not affiliated with a political party may vote, but only in one of the two contests.
The 8th Congressional district is in the northwest part of Maricopa County. It includes Peoria, Surprise, Anthem and Sun City.
Franks’ resignation last month set off a scramble for candidates who want his seat. There are 12 Republicans and two Democrats running.
The general election is April 24.
