Korea Experts Worry About Lack Of U.S. Ambassador To South Korea

A potential nominee to be ambassador to South Korea is reportedly out of contention for the post, after he publicly disagreed with the Trump administration’s consideration of a pre-emptive strike against North Korea.

And with the Winter Olympics starting next week in Pyeongchang, some are calling attention to the fact that the U.S. does not have an ambassador in South Korea.

Here to talk about this is Jung Pak, a senior fellow and the Korea chair at the Brookings Institution.
