This week's active storm system has delivered several inches of much needed snow to Northern Arizona's mountains.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory through the early morning hours on Tuesday, as roads above 6,500 feet turned to ice.
By Tuesday morning, more than nine inches of snow had fallen at Arizona Snowbowl and the Flagstaff region has a 74 percent chance of seeing more snow.
While that may be worth celebrating, Meteorologist Andrew Taylor with the National Weather Service warned not to get too excited.
"We're still at about a 7 ¾ inch deficit as far as liquids since the first of September," he calculated for rain and snow totals.
With more than a foot of snow piling up for perfect winter scenery, he still remained cautious.
"As far as snow fall, we're still about 45-50 inches behind," Taylor said.
There is good news in that this storm will move out Thursday with another system forecasted to follow next week.
