What Do Candidates' Efforts Mean For Political Strength Of Asian-Americans In State?

Arizona doesn’t have a huge Asian-American population, but the current political cycle features four candidates with that background.

Three of them are Democrats: congressional candidates Dr. Hiral Tipirneni and Anita Malik, and state House candidate Amish Shah.

The fourth is longtime Republican state lawmaker Kimberly Yee, who is running for state treasurer.

Arizona Republic Editorial Board member Abe Kwok wrote recently about those candidates and what their efforts mean for the political strength of Asian-Americans in the state. And he’s with me.
