Cardinals' Larry Fitzgerald Coming Back To Play In 2018 Season

There’s good news for Valley football fans. A future hall-of-famer will return to the Arizona Cardinals for least one more season.

New Cards coach Steve Wilks let it slip during an radio interview: wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has informed the team that he is indeed coming back to play in the coming 2018 season.

Fitz, who will be 35 in April, had signed an one-year extension in November. But he would not commit to playing after both Cards coach Bruce Arians and starting quarterback Carson Palmer announced their retirements.

Despite his advanced football age, he continues to play at a high level, tying his own franchise record with 109 catches this past season.

He’s made the NFL’s Pro Bowl and currently ranks third all time in receptions and receiving yards.
