What Is A High Sensation-Seeking Personality?

If you’re anything like me, you might find yourself watching the winter Olympics and squirming at every death-defying turn.

How do these athletes brave such high jumps and flips and breakneck speeds?

Well, according to Dr. Kenneth Carter, professor of Psychology at Emory University, some of these athletes might have a personality trait that helps them in these high-stakes moments.

It’s called a high sensation-seeking personality.

Carter is writing a book about people like this right now.

He has a quiz on his website that will tell you if you have one of these high-sensation seeking personalities.

How does this risk-taking personality type help people like Olympians succeed?
