Are apartment rents in the Phoenix metro area too high?
A new reportfrom the firm Smart Asset looks at the number of hours it takes to afford rent in a number of cities.
Phoenix ranks ninth, with the average worker here needing to put in nearly 66 hours to pay rent.
The top 10 list includes cities like San Jose, San Francisco, New York and Boston. Phoenix is just ahead of Charlotte, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin.
