ADOT To Help Mexico Promote Safety On Road To Rocky Point

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is helping Mexican officials promote safety on the highway going to Rocky Point.

ADOT representatives recently went to Mexico to train first responders, military and government officials on how to quickly clear up traffic incidents to avoid secondary crashes.

The next step of this binational partnership is to create a so-called safety corridor before spring break along the 63 miles of Highway 8. That stretch of road will be enforced by Mexican law enforcement and military officials. ADOT will help train those officials.
