What Could The 2018 Wildfire Season Look Like In Arizona?

This has been an exceptionally dry winter in Arizona, and that has a lot of people worried about what that could mean for our next wildfire season. In the West, the wildfire seasons are getting longer, and there’s increased risk for catastrophic mega-fires.

Gov. Doug Ducey and State Forester Jeff Whitney are previewing what the 2018 wildfire season could look like. The Show's Steve Goldstein spoke with Whitney earlier, and started the conversation by asking just how much burning we could see later this year in Arizona.

Steve Goldstein was a host at KJZZ from 1997 to 2022.
