ADOT Prepares Snowplow Crews For Storm In Northern Arizona

A winter weather advisory has been issued for the Flagstaff area. According to the Associated Press, new snowfall in Flagstaff and Williams may reach up to four inches by 8 p.m. tonight.

Arizona Department of Transportation snowplow operators expect to keep busy as the storm moves through.

“Driving conditions can change rapidly because the storm can change rapidly," said ADOT spokesman Ryan Harding. "A highway can close suddenly if enough snow falls in a brief period or if there are crashes or slide offs.”

For those heading north, Harding recommends packing an emergency kit with food, water and extra blankets.
