The southwest Valley continues to attract companies focused on manufacturing and distribution. Avondale is the latest city to welcome a new company.
Mattress manufacturer King Koil will move into a building that includes a warehouse for Conn’s Furniture and distribution center for SanMar, a wholesale apparel company.
When King Koil’s 90,000-square-foot factory opens in April, it is expected to employ 50 people. In a written statement, David Binke, chief executive officer, said, “This new King Koil factory is a key component to our new direct-to-retail manufacturing strategy.”
The facility is located just off Interstate 10, strategic location for companies looking to reach customers across the western U.S.
In the last year, Avondale’s neighbor, Goodyear, announced new distribution centers for online pet retailer Chewy and discount grocer Aldi.
