Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake Again Requests Passage of 'Three-for-Three' Bill

Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake returned to the Senate floor Tuesday to request immediate passage of his bipartisan bill to provide a temporary solution for DACA recipients facing potential deportation.

This is not the first time Flake has asked for immediate passage of the bill. Last week he did the same thing, and when the bill was blocked, he committed to return to the floor frequently until the Senate reaches a DACA deal.

The “three-for-three” proposal would extend DACA protections for three years and provide $7.6 billion to fund three years of increased security along the southern border.

"I am the first to admit this solution I propose is far from perfect, but it provides a temporary fix to those crucial and critical problems. It begins a process of improving border security and it ensures that DACA recipients will not lose protections or be left to face potential deportation," Flake said.

The senator's efforts were again blocked through an objection, but he vowed to keep returning to the floor until a DACA deal is reached.
