The variety of restaurants in the Valley continues to grow, and authenticity is a prime goal for many of them.
And within that collection of eateries is a huge subcategory of Mexican selections. Some are very traditional, while others have a more Americanized feel. And trends are indicating there are less predictable options that longtime Phoenicians haven’t gotten used to seeing on the menu.
Dominic Armato is the dining critic for The Arizona Republic. The Show's Steve Goldstein spoke with him about some of those trends — with Mexican food, in particular.
