Enjoy the mild temperatures Monday and Tuesday in the Phoenix area, because the heat cranks up by mid-week.
That warning according to meteorologist Jaret Rogers with the National Weather Service.
“We’ll see a warming trend beginning Wednesday and we’ll be back in the 80s, with a high around 81 on Wednesday for Phoenix," Rogers forecasted, "And, then by Friday or Saturday we’re actually expected to hit 90 degrees.”
He said it’s due to a high pressure system building over the Southwest and will likely bring in the first 90 degree high of the year.
In northern Arizona, he noted the warming trend will bring highs to the low 60s by the weekend, with a slight chance for rain through the week.
