How Do Prolonged Crime Sprees Affect Communities?

Events like the recent series of package bombings in Austin, Texas, and in Phoenix, when an unknown person was shooting at cars on the Interstate 10, can have the community on edge for weeks at a time.

How do these kinds of prolonged crime sprees affect those communities and the mental well being of everyone in them?

 For more on that, The Show talked with Amy Nitza. She’s the director of the Institute for Disaster Mental Health at the State University of New York at New Paltz.
