LA Asking Homeowners To Build Backyard Houses For Homeless

Los Angeles County officials have set aside more than $500,000 for a pilot project aimed at getting some homeless residents into housing — and that housing would not be dedicated apartments or shelters.

Gale Holland has written about this; she’s a staff writer for the LA Times and covers homelessness.
