The latest financial disclosures are out from the two candidates for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District, located in the northwest valley.
The new filing shows Republican Debbie Lesko, a former state lawmaker, has raised $539,404 this election and spent $510,760. Her opponent is Democrat Hiral Tipirneni, a physician. Tipirneni’s raised $670,533 and spent $609,993.
Outside groups like the Republican National Committee and the National Republican Campaign Committee have altogether spent over $700,000 for Lesko on things like political ads, door-to-door canvassing, and phone services. Democratic groups haven’t spent nearly as much on the race.
Early voting is ongoing and election day is April 24th.
