Arizona’s Second District Congresswoman Martha McSally championed President Donald Trump’s decision to lead airstrikes against Syria on Friday.
Speaking on Fox News Channel Saturday morning, McSally said the airstrikes send a clear message to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
“The strategic goals were to send a message that using weapons of mass destruction will not be tolerated by the civilized world," McSally said. "And so, I’m very proud and I stand with the president on this decision."
McSally is a retired United States Air Force colonel and is running to replace current U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake who is not seeking re-election.
