Some Phoenix-Area Homebuilders Lament Lack Of High-Skilled Tradespeople

The Phoenix-area housing market is humming along, and state officials expect Arizona to add more than 10,000 construction jobs over the next two years. But all that activity, in part, may be exacerbating a lack of high-skilled tradespeople.

Jeff Hebets, the owner of a Phoenix metal fabrication company, and Sarah Swartz Wessel, an architect that owns a construction company with her husband, discuss the difficulties finding enough highly skilled craftspeople willing and able to do the work.
