Roughly one in 68 children have been identified with autism spectrum disorder, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And, for some of those kids, different kinds of therapy can prove effective in treating some of the symptoms.
But, there are also new medications working their way through the testing phases. One of them comes from Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Eric Hollander is director of the Autism and Obsessive Compulsive Spectrum Program and joined us on The Show.
