Why Thousands Of Organs Are Lost Before They Can Be Donated

More than 100,00 people in the United States are waiting for organ transplants. More than 2,000 of those people are right here in Arizona.

But tens of thousands of viable organs are lost each year before they can be donated and save lives.

That’s what journalist Ted Alcorn found recently while  reporting for Vox — and he said there are ways to make the system work better.
