Fire officials say an abandoned campfire sparked the Tinder Fire, which has burned more than 11,000 acres in northern Arizona since Friday.

The wildfire is currently zero percent contained and destroyed 30 buildings and is threatening about 1,000 homes and other buildings near Payson.

Campfires were temporarily banned in the area where the fire started on Friday due to dry conditions and high winds.

Almost 700 emergency personnel deployed to fight the blaze and assist the evacuated families.
