The #RedForEd movement was just the latest in a broader movement across the country that includes teachers walking out to increase their pay and bring hundreds of millions of dollars back into K-12 systems. But this is a battle that’s been going on for some time — at least since the Great Recession. Some believe there’s a bigger fight on the horizon over the future of public education.
