On The Ledge: What Arizona Legislature Did And Did Not Accomplish This Year

Shortly after midnight on Friday morning, Arizona lawmakers adjourned their 2018 session. They’d approved a budget, with a pay raise for teachers, early the previous morning, and gave their OK to one last batch of bills before wrapping up for the year.

The session started with discussion of the #MeToo movement, and was dominated at the end by #RedForEd.

Howard Fischer of Capitol Media Services joined The Show to talk about what happened at 1700 W. Washington St. this year.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
