Arizona AG Tells Sedona To Change Rules On Home Sharing

The state Attorney General’s office says Sedona has to change its rules on short-term vacation rentals. If it doesn’t, the city could lose half of the money it gets from the state.

At issue is a 2016 law that limits cities’ ability to regulate home-sharing platforms like Airbnb. A West Valley lawmaker used a provision in another state law to ask the AG’s office to investigate whether Sedona’s ordinance violated that state law.

Joining The Show to talk about this is Sedona City Attorney Robert Pickels.
