The Maricopa County Stadium District is scheduled to vote Wednesday on a proposed settlement with the Arizona Diamondbacks in a legal battle over Chase Field.
The Diamondbacks sued the district in 2017 after years of bickering over the condition of the stadium and who should pay to fix it.
District officials said Monday that the potential settlement would simplify the original stadium deal struck during the 1990s.
Ken Kendrick, managing general partner of the Diamondbacks, has said the proposal is the best chance for the team to stay in Arizona for the long term.
