Do Drivers Expect Too Much, Too Soon From Autonomous Cars?

Some drivers using Tesla’s autopilot have complained about sudden veering, which some reports say is caused by a software bug. This is the latest reported issue with autonomous vehicles, a list that includes the Tempe Uber which was involved in a fatal accident in March.

To get a sense of where self-driving technology is now, and where it has to go, The Show is joined by David R. Baker, the energy reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle.
