Meghan McCain, daughter of Arizona Sen. John McCain, told audience members of "The View" on Wednesday that politics in the country is so divisive she fears being bullied in public.

She said she can’t even be sure what people may say about the health of her father, who is battling an aggressive form of brain cancer.

“It’s a really odd feeling to feel like we are in such a divisive part of the country. I don’t know where you stand politically on my father’s cancer so I am paranoid about going out to dinner," said McCain.

McCain said she does not want to go out in public anymore because of the country’s negative political tones.
