Matching People Looking For Work With Employers Looking For Workers

Arizona’s unemployment rate has been just below 5 percent for the past few months. In March, the industries adding the most jobs were leisure and hospitality, trade, transportation and utilities, along with professional and business services.

But some employers — both in Arizona and elsewhere — have complained that while they have openings, they can’t find qualified workers to fill those jobs.

Joe Fuller is a professor of management practice at the Harvard Business School, where he runs the "Managing the Future of Work" project, and he joined The Show to talk about this issue. Fuller is also a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
