Arizona’s unemployment rate has been just below 5 percent for the past few months. In March, the industries adding the most jobs were leisure and hospitality, trade, transportation and utilities, along with professional and business services.
But some employers — both in Arizona and elsewhere — have complained that while they have openings, they can’t find qualified workers to fill those jobs.
Joe Fuller is a professor of management practice at the Harvard Business School, where he runs the "Managing the Future of Work" project, and he joined The Show to talk about this issue. Fuller is also a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.
