Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick called for limiting entrances to schools after last week’s massacre in Santa Fe, Texas.
Arizona Schools Superintendent Diane Douglas agrees.
Her spokesman, Stefan Swiat, said while Douglas does not want to see schools look like prisons, “she does believe schools could bolster their security by creating larger fencing or things that would deter unwanted guests to school campus.”
Swiat said renovations still cost money and legislators would need to determine where that would come from if Gov. Doug Ducey agrees to a special session on school safety.
