If city health policies were an Olympic event, Phoenix, Mesa and Tucson would miss the podium, according to a new report.
CityHealth looks at the country’s 40 biggest cities and ranks them in multiple areas including affordable housing, the ability of residents to get healthy food and complete streets. The group, which is an initiative of the de Beaumont Foundation and Kaiser Permanente, gave gold medals to several cities including LA, Chicago, San Jose and Boston.
Sixteen cities, including the three in Arizona, did not get a medal.
CityHealth President Shelley Hearne joined The Shoe to talk about the report.
