Arizona Motor Vehicle Division Warns Of Online Scam

The Arizona Motor Vehicle Department is warning customers about a new online scam.

Officials say web links have been popping up on social media that sell practice tests and answers. Despite not being illegal, MVD officials said the department offers those same services for free on its own site.

Spokesman Doug Nick said agency officials have seen this scam before.

“There’s absolutely no need to pay and try to get the answers," Nick said, "because if you take those tests enough times, you’ll see just about all the answers there are.”

Nick also said those misleading websites can be found easily by doing a misguided web search.

“If you or someone does the web search ‘DMV Arizona,' it’s probably going to come up a copycat website," he said.

The agency's official services can be found on servicearizona.com.
