Both highways that were closed earlier this week because of the 377 Fire have now reopened. The northeastern Arizona fire is now 70 percent contained.
Firefighters continue to mop up the blaze that closed State Routes 277 and 377 earlier this week. Highway 377, which funnels traffic to and from Interstate 40 at Holbrook, reopened Thursday night. Officials took down barricades to State Route 277 on Tuesday, when they lifted the community evacuations.
The wildfire has burned 4,500 acres northeast of Heber. Navajo County Sheriff's officials said the fire was caused by a spark from a tailgate dragged from a trailer.
