As Arizona heads toward the August primary election, KJZZ's The Show is inviting candidates in contested races to talk about why they’re running and some of the key issues in their contests.

David Garcia is running in the Democratic gubernatorial primary against State Sen. Steve Farley and Kelly Fryer. The winner will face either Gov. Doug Ducey or former Secretary of State Ken Bennett in November’s general election.

Garcia talked about why he thinks he's the right candidate to be the Democratic nominee for governor.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
