As Arizona heads toward the August primary election, KJZZ's The Show is inviting candidates in contested races to talk about why they’re running and some of the key issues in their contests.

Deedra Abboud is running for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate against Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema.

The winner will face the winner of the GOP primary in November, a race that includes Congresswoman Martha McSally, former State Senator Kelli Ward and former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
