Diana Taurasi: Hall Of Fame-Caliber Phoenix Mercury Star

Earlier this month, the Suns had the top pick in the NBA draft and chose UA center Deandre Ayton. Even if the team’s greatest hopes are realized, it’s unlikely that Ayton will turn out to be a Hall of Fame-caliber player.

The other pro basketball team in town — the Phoenix Mercury — already has the benefit of a guaranteed Hall of Famer, Diana Taurasi, who has been doing remarkable things in WNBA games since 2004.

Writer Shea Serrano had never watched Taurasi play until recently. But when he did, he admits to being amazed. He wrote about that for "The Ringer" and was on The Show to talk about what he saw.
