Arizona Farm Bureau: Grocery Prices Went Down In Second Quarter

There’s good news for Phoenix-area grocery shoppers. A new survey by the Arizona Farm Bureau shows some prices have fallen significantly.

The survey shows the second quarter has brought lower prices for ground beef, bacon and milk — just to name a few items.

Julie Murphee with the bureau said although second quarter prices are lower than the first, the year to year cost is up.

“We kind of have to make that year to year comparison, but it’s still kind of encouraging that we’re at least down by a little bit, especially as we move into the Fourth of July holiday,” Murphee said.

Some items like boneless chicken breasts and vegetable oil increased in price.
