As part of the Phoenix City Council’s Thursday meeting, council members will consider whether to approve an officer-involved shooting study.
The Phoenix Police Department wants to enter into an agreement with the National Police Foundation to figure out why there have already been 28 officer-involved shootings so far in 2018. The foundation has said it could finish the report within six months of approval.
Police Chief Jeri Williams is leading the push to have the foundation do the study, and she joined The Show to explain more.
