As Arizona heads toward the August primary election, KJZZ's The Show is inviting candidates in contested races to talk about why they’re running and some of the key issues in their contests.
Debbie Lesko is the current congresswoman in Arizona's 8th Congressional District, who won a special election in the spring to succeed Trent Franks — who resigned. Lesko defeated Democrat Hiral Tipirneni in a race that was closer than most expected in a district where President Donald Trump had proven to be very popular.
Before that, Lesko served as a state lawmaker from 2008 until her congressional run earlier this year.
She joined The Show to talk about her priorities and the most relevant issues in the 8th District.
