Salvation Army Brings Water To Residents In Southeast Valley

Some southeast Valley residents served by Johnson Utilities have complained of issues with the pressure and quality of their water.

The Salvation Army’s Nancy Dihle  says, as a result, the organization is bringing cases of water to those who have been affected.

"It appears that it’s going to be an ongoing problem and so right now all we’re able to do is to resource for the weekend," Dihle said. "We just hope that in the next few days they can figure out what’s going on and get it corrected.”

The need for water has been heightened as an excessive heat warning has been issued for the area. During excessive heat warnings the Salvation Army also offers free water to anyone at 12 water stations, spanning Estrella Mountain and Sun Valley to Apache Junction.
