Tolleson Food Distributor Recalls Salads With Peanuts

Papa John’s Salads & Produce of Tolleson has announced a recall of their superfood salads.

Yavapai Public Health Coordinator Terri Farnetti said the salads contain peanuts which were not listed on the labels and were distributed and sold in deli service sections in Arizona and other western states.

“It looks like they were sold to Fry’s in many areas of Arizona and people who have sensitivity or allergies to peanuts may be at serious risk of life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product," she said.

Farnetti commented that the product was sold from July 9 to July 11 and so far there have not been any reports by consumers whose health was hurt from the salads.

Papa John’s Salads & Produce is not affiliated with the nationwide pizza chain founded by John Schnatter.
